A Destiny Suppressed

You will never feel at ease

You will never be at peace

You will never feel the breeze

In a midsummer night’s dream

Away from fairies

Running in place,

Far away from your dreams.

That is until

You release the beast

Tamed by society

And your inner beliefs.

Your mind and body

Are suffocating its wishes,

To proceed with its mission;

And so it is generating a tornado within

And creating wreckage

Unable to escape

The prison you’ve created.

Uncage the soul

And let it go about its deeds.

Or face the consequences

Of a life spent in misery

Knowing you suppressed

The realization of your own destiny.
