Blissful Moments
Every morning I awake to a silent breeze
Creeping through the window,
Where I see the sun rise from the east
There’s happiness in the simple things I thought
If we look hard enough, and dare to live free
There’s a tree that stands boldly outside
And salutes me cheerfully
Everyday, with a sprinkling of leaves
There’s happiness in the simple things I thought
If we look hard enough, and dare to live free
A daily stroll is my time for me
It is when I greet me
And see how things are going, beneath the debris
There’s happiness in the simple things I thought
If we look hard enough, and dare to live free
A child cried with laughter
Playing in a puddle not deep
As I wandered through the park, where others roam free
There’s happiness in the simple things I thought
If we look hard enough, and dare to live free
In my wanderlust there is a familiar stranger
That I cross paths with daily
She smiles always, without intent or need
There’s happiness in the simple things I thought
If we look hard enough, and dare to live free
To imagine- all this,
While the rest of today,
And life too, has yet to unfold.
In a turn of fortunes and a stroke of luck, I have finally noted
Blissful moments are infinite
If we just choose, to look for them
