Today I sit in peace

Awareness is my flashlight and this is what I see-

There is harmony between mind and body

And balance, between wants and needs.

I take solace

In knowing you are always there.

Life creates waves ten feet high

That come crashing down on our spirit,

Daily, from all sides.

What is the reality of this world?

Is there any universal beauty?

Any undeniable truths?

You have your prejudices

And me, my illusions

Should life pass you by

I hope that it at least provides you with a slight breeze

To feel

What could have been,

Had you been,

Present.

I once stayed with my breath,

For a moment

It was then, that my life began

What I possess, is only in me.

But what is really in me

And who is me

Not that me,

But ‘me’

I.

Who is the architect

Behind these rules we must play by?

Its several years later

And I still see nothing but fools

Laying brick to pave the roads

For royalty to pass through.
