Borrowed Time

In a meadow lays a lily,

Not far from a fallen tree.

The sun and moon dance together,

For eternity.

Today there was Thunder,

Yesterday, sleet.

Fear not for tomorrow,

Mother nature will always rise to her feet.

What remains to be seen

Is will we

We are one day shorter after all,

In this finite dream.

So today let us not entertain hallucinations,

But rather chase dreams;

For death will befall us all,

We are not the eternal sky

Our time here is only borrowed.
