Daily Affirmations

She awoke

Not with worry and fear,

But a smile

Knowing this was her year

She glanced over at the mirror

And reacquainted herself

With herself

As was daily ritual;

And was moved to mingle with the moment a while

Following through with her rainy-day epiphany

That is best to remain here,

Rather than the worry of yesterday

And fear of tomorrow

Circumstance

Is in the eye of the beholder,

She affirmed this morning.

A sentiment spoken out loud

That echoed through the walls

And bounced off the glass;

An energy that served her best,

Rather than fables of luck and chance

She greeted life with new enthusiasm this day

As a revelation had appeared

It costs nothing to choose light over darkness

And believe dreams do come true,

Exactly as planned.
